Built as the newest model in the Coromal Pioneer range, say hello to the Pioneer Evolution XC “PEX”. The PEX is designed as a robust off-roader for the avid adventurer who loves exploring the Australian outback.
With new and improved design, technologies and construction, the PEX boasts endless features and innovation, setting it aside from the traditionally built caravans that you typically see within the industry.
A REVOLUTION OF INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
As with all Coromal | Windsor caravans, the PEX is entirely built at our WA factory by our experienced and dedicated Fleetwood Recreational Vehicles team, from concept to design to production.
The PEX is aimed at bringing the customer a demonstrably engineered product that is aligned with off-road styling. We have radically reduced the possibility of water ingress and the subsequent warranty issues. The weight of the finished van compared to similar Pioneer XC is significantly improved.
A CNC cut, laminated van simply changes the market comparisons that are made so easily with the planked alternatives in the industry.
FUTURE TECK™ CONSTRUCTION
Future Teck™ construction brings new and improved functionality and superior ‘strength to weight ratio’, making it the clear choice for our construction method.
This construction is not new; however, we are now far better at managing the process and in relation to product, have been able to greatly improve the engineering using a fully rolled aluminium section on the roof fixing.
Seamless, One-Piece Design
Effectively, the PEX is a one-piece design. The roof panel starts at the front leading edge of the caravan and finishes at the rear bumper.
The seamless, one-piece design means no plastic moulding, less joints and less expansion, while reducing the opportunity of water ingress.
HIGH TENSILE ENGINEERED FRV CHASSIS
The new PEX chassis is a whopping 130 kgs lighter than a standard built chassis. It is manufactured from 550 grade steel – typically used in high-end engineering applications such as the chassis on commercial trucks. It is built using laser cut technology and requires very little welding. All the fixings are of industrial automotive grade. The styling and colour is aimed at evoking the sense of an engineered function, being strong but light-weight. It is fully certified and has passed all FEA analysis. It is labelled to draw attention to the engineered design and the materials.
NEW SPORT X RALLY SEAMLESS TUBULAR SUSPENSION
The Esy-Tow ™ Sport X Rally suspension is the next most obvious step in the development of our wishbone system. It is engineered from high grade superior seamless steel, used in race car applications. It is larger and uses round tubes rather than squares. It includes spherical bearings that are adjustable and are the same automotive parts used in commercial trucks. All these features bring greater strength and confidence to the system.
NEW AIR REAR FOIL
Introducing the new rear air foil – an extruded aero dynamically shaped aluminium spoiler. It is mounted through the side mouldings of the caravan, which are also made from aluminium, having no direct fixing to the roof. The benefits include improvement in drag when towing and it brings a new aesthetically appealing look to the van.
NEW AUTOMOTIVE GLASS WINDOWS
The automotive glass hopper windows are simply a much more resilient, cleaner looking product, that is of better value. It will not scratch and twist like other acrylic types. The fittings are available as stainless steel or aluminium. We expect it will not be heavier than previous standards windows.
NEW LIGHT WEIGHT BENCH TOP
This laminated bench top feature is not an obvious feature, unless you specifically inform your customers. The main benefit of this feature is that it is light weight but also robust. It is built from a compact laminated system.
NEW SHOWER AND DRAINAGE
Our new shower and drainage unit is light and modern in its style. It offers adequate access to plumbing, and combined with our new plumbing system, it eliminates the risk for water damage to the floor and walls, as there is no timber incorporated in the unit.

We put our PEX to the ultimate test to prove that our construction and technology is stronger than ever!
Using a 25-tonne crane, we placed our Windsor Hybrid on top of the PEX to display its true strength and durability.
Our all new one-piece Future Teck™ construction has impressively passed our durability test, proving that our all new Pioneer Evolution XC is the most rugged, durable van that we have produced to date.
